Portrait of the Ecological Self Hatchfund Campaign FUNDED!

Thank you to everyone that contributed to my crowd funding campaign in support of my ‘Portrait of the Ecological Self’ project. Thank you so much! I met my target goal – $2500 – and an additional $1300 towards my stretch goal. The funding will go through for this project to cast sculptures in a durable outdoor material to exhibit this summer on Mount Desert Island.

Special ‘thank-you’ to Alice and Nick Seeger for the generous work on the video. Alice runs Seeger Solutions and I highly recommend her for your video and photography needs! Also thank you to the Maine Arts Commission for providing matching funds to Maine artists on Hatchfund.

Thank you so much to everyone that contributed to or shared the project with others! The enthusiastic outreach from all my friends, family and beyond, has been a true encouragement. I received donations from NY to San Francisco, high school friends, University of Michigan and New York Academy alumni, and friends of friends; supporters included – artists, business owners, teachers, board members, entrepreneurs, and even students.

I’ve spent the last week working on the plaster cast of the zebra fish head portrait. I will be able to make a mold from the cast for the outside exhibit. I’ll post updates on the finished project on the Hatchfund site and my Facebook page: Kimberly Callas Artwork.

With so much appreciation!
